Chin West Dam Project: temporary bypass on Range Road 18-2 beginning November 4
Please be advised that, due to dam upgrades, a temporary bypass road will be in place at the Chin West Dam on Range Road 18-2 beginning November 4, 2026, and is expected to remain in service until August 2028 to accommodate ongoing construction and infrastructure improvement activities.
Motorists, agricultural operators, and all other road users are asked to use the bypass road and exercise caution while travelling through the area. Traffic control signage will be posted, and speed reductions may be in effect to help ensure the safety of workers and the public.
We encourage all road users to:
- Follow all posted signage and traffic control devices.
- Reduce speed when approaching and travelling through the work zone.
- Watch for construction equipment, workers, and changing road conditions.
- Allow extra travel time as minor delays may occur.
