Tax Certificate

Tax Certificates are official documents issued by the Municipal District of Taber, which provide information about the tax status of a specific property. These documents are commonly used by lawyers and banks to verify tax balances, but they are also accessible to property owners.

To request a Tax Certificate, please follow these steps:

  1. Download the Tax Request Form.
  2. Submit your request via one of the following methods:
    • Email: tax@mdtaber.ab.ca
    • Fax: 403-223-1799
    • Mail: 4900B - 50th Street, Taber, AB T1G 1T2
    • In-person: 4900B - 50th Street, Taber, Alberta

When submitting your request for a tax certificate, make sure to provide the following details:

  • Contact information, including your name and phone number
  • Legal land locations for all the properties you are requesting certificates for
  • File reference number (if applicable)
  • Payment of the required fee

Please note

  • Fees must be paid before processing your Tax Certificates. You can make payments online or by cheque.
  • The cost for Tax Certificates is $40.00 per titled parcel, as outlined in our current fee structure.
  • If you are a registered landowner for the property, Tax Certificates and other tax information are available to you at no charge.
