Bursary Program

Now accepting applications for the 2022 Bursary Program.

The MD of Taber Bursary Program was created to further one’s learning in the area of agriculture and the agri-food industry. To help students get off on the right foot, 4 annual $500 bursaries are awarded one-time-only to anyone pursuing secondary or furthered learning that will lead to employment within the field of agriculture.   1. Preference in awarding the bursaries will be given to students enrolled in programs that will lead to employment within the field of agriculture. If more than 4 eligible applications are received the 4 judged to be the most applicable to agriculture will be awarded a bursary. 
  2. Must be registered to attend one or more of the agricultural courses or other training related to agriculture provided by a recognized secondary educational institute.
  3. Must be a resident within the geographic boundaries of the Municipal District of Taber prior to enrollment in college or university to be eligible for a bursary.
  4. The bursary will be awarded only once per individual.
  5. Must not have received this bursary before.
  6. Academic standards apply. 
  7. Applications must be received from August 1st to August 31st of the current year to be considered at the September ASB meeting.
