The MD of Taber’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP) was developed to provide Council and senior staff with a comprehensive and strategic roadmap to guide the enhancement and maintenance of the rural transportation network within the Municipal District of Taber over the next ten-year planning horizon.
This plan includes a detailed review of the MD's current transportation infrastructure and operations, including road classifications, maintenance practices, traffic safety, and connectivity for both community mobility and industrial transport. Developed through extensive public engagement and data analysis, the TMP outlines recommendations for infrastructure upgrades, road safety improvements, long-term asset management, and fiscally responsible resource allocation—all aligned with the MD’s vision of a safe, adaptable, and efficient transportation system.
