Voter registration
The 2025 Municipal Election is on Monday, October 20th.
In order to vote in the MD of Taber’s Municipal Election (and any upcoming provincial and federal elections) you MUST be registered online to vote with Elections Alberta before September 15th.
Registering in advance can save time on election day. The Voterlink platform allows eligible Albertans to:
- Register to vote for the first time
- Update existing voter registration information
- Check if they are already registered
To complete your registration, you will need an Alberta Driver’s License or an Alberta Identification Card for each individual you wish to register or update. The process takes less than five minutes!

Your privacy is important—your information will be used for electoral purposes only and shared with your municipality as required by Alberta provincial legislation.
If you are not registered before September 15th, you will need to complete additional paperwork at the voting station before casting your ballot. Plan ahead and make your vote count!
Voter eligibility
You are an eligible voter if you:
- are at least 18 years old
- are a Canadian citizen
- are a resident of the MD of Taber and the relevant division on election day
- can provide authorized identification

Advanced voting
Advanced Voting is available to all eligible voters of the Municipal District of Taber. You may choose to vote at the advanced vote or on election day, but you may only vote once.
