The MD of Taber Library Board plays a vital role in ensuring that our community has access to comprehensive and efficient library services. Guided by the Alberta Libraries Act and the MD of Taber Library Board Bylaw No 1864, the Board is responsible for the full management and control of the municipal library system. This includes organizing, promoting, and maintaining high-quality library services to meet the informational, educational, recreational, and cultural needs of our residents.
Responsibilities
As mandated by the Alberta Libraries Act, the MD of Taber Library Board oversees all library operations within the municipality. The Board establishes bylaws, policies, and procedures that ensure our libraries run smoothly and efficiently, providing residents with valuable resources and services.
Meetings
The MD of Taber Library Board holds regular meetings each year at a time and place determined by the Board. These meetings are an opportunity to discuss library policies, review services, and plan future initiatives.
