The Municipal District of Taber is accepting sealed bids for a selection of surplus municipal equipment, offered on an as-is / where-is basis. Items include a range of heavy equipment such as conveyors, crushers, loaders, and related machinery.
All bids must be submitted using the official 2026 Surplus Bid Form.

- Full payment must be made within 5 business days of receiving a notice of award.
- The purchaser will be responsible for all costs associated with removal, transportation, goods and services tax, and any applicable safety certificates.
- The Municipality does not guarantee quality, performance, or dependability. All equipment is offered on an as-is / where-is basis.
- The Municipality reserves the right to reject any and all offers or accept any offer that it may consider is in the best interest of the Municipality.
- Equipment viewing is by appointment only at the MD of Taber Operations Building Yard at 171027 Highway 3, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Phone 403-223-3142.
- No equipment may be removed until payment has been cleared.
- Opening of sealed bids will be on Friday, June 3rd, 2026 at 11:01 a.m. The sealed bid opening will not be accessible to the public. No bid will be officially accepted until after Council review and approval.
- The Successful bidders will be notified following review of bids by Council on June 9th, 2026. No information will be released before this time.
- Successful bidders must remove equipment on or before Friday, July 10th, 2026. Equipment not removed by that date will be re-tendered, and a refund less 5% administrative charge will be incurred by the bidder.
- By submitting a bid for surplus equipment, all bidders acknowledge the terms of the surplus bidding above.
