Surplus Equipment Sales

This is the official page of the Municipal District of Taber for the sale of surplus equipment and materials, and public auction information. The following surplus equipment and materials are available for sale:

Instructions to bidders:

  1. Download and complete a copy of the 2023 M.D. of Taber Surplus Equipment Bid Form along with a cheque for each item must be received in a sealed envelope no later than 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7th, 2023, and clearly marked:

  2. A cheque for the full tender amount plus GST to accompany all tenders. Cheques from unsuccessful bidders will be returned promptly.
  3. The purchaser will be responsible for all costs associated with removal, transportation, GST, and any applicable safety certificates.
  4. The Municipality does not guarantee quality, performance or dependability. All equipment is offered on an as-is / where-is basis.
  5. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any and all offers or accept any offer which it may consider is in the best interest of the Municipality.
  6. For viewing, please make an appointment by calling 403-223-3142. Viewing hours at the MD of Taber Operations & Maintenance Building at 171027 Highway 3, Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. 
  7. No equipment may be removed until all cheques have cleared.
  8. Opening of tender bids will be on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, at 11:05 am. No tender bid will be officially accepted until review and approval by Council.
  9. The successful bidders will be notified following the review of tender bids by Council on December 12th, 2023. No information will be released before this time.   10. Successful bidders must remove equipment on or before Friday, December 20th, 2023. Equipment not removed by that date will be re-tendered and a refund less 5% administrative charge will be incurred by the bidder.
  11. By submitting a bid for surplus equipment all bidders acknowledge the terms of the surplus tender above.
