Regional Water Services Commissions

The MD of Taber is partnered with the Highway 3 Regional Water Services Commission and the Vauxhall & District Regional Water Services Commission in receiving potable water to the Hamlets of Enchant, Hays, and Grassy Lake through high-pressure underground pipe systems and bulk water fill stations.


About the Vauxhall & District Regional Water Services Commission

The Vauxhall & District Regional Water Services Commission was established in 2009 for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, controlling, and managing a regional water treatment plant, raw water reservoir and regional water supply lines. The members of the Commission are the Municipal District of Taber and the Town of Vauxhall. The Commission members entered into this regional initiative to ensure the sustainability of our water supply and to cost-effectively supply potable waterto the Hamlets of Enchant and Hays, and to the Town of Vauxhall.


About the Highway 3 Regional Water Services Commission

The Municipal District of Taber purchases potable water for use in the Hamlet of Grassy Lake, from the Highway 3 Regional Water Services Commission. The Commission was established on November 25, 2009, for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, controlling, and managing a regional water treatment plant, raw water reservoir and regional water supply lines. The members of the Commission are the Municipal District of Taber, the County of Forty Mile and the Town of Bow Island. The Commission members entered into this regional initiative to ensure the sustainability of our water supply and to cost-effectively supply potable waterto all residents in the region.
