Regional Fire Services

Serving the region with pride, vigilance and valour.

As a rural community that spans a large and diverse geographic area, the Municipal District of Taber Regional Fire Services (MDTRFS) provides effective and efficient responses to day-to-day emergencies through six fire stations.

These stations are strategically placed throughout our communities to serve them through excellence in fire prevention, education, protection, and safety.

MDTRFS relies on a team of over 90 volunteer firefighters, 6 district chiefs, a deputy regional fire chief, and a regional fire chief committed to providing emergency response services to our communities. These individuals are alerted to regional emergency events as they happen. In addition to emergency response, team members attend regular evening training and occasional weekend training as well as participate in fire prevention activities.

Every member is a dedicated trained professional with a high level of competency, who places a high value on the services provided to our residents, friends, and neighbours.
