📢 Upcoming Designated Industrial Property Inspections in the MD of Taber
Please be advised that assessors from the Government of Alberta will be in the Municipal District of Taber beginning this month (May) to conduct annual inspections of Designated Industrial (DI) Properties as part of the provincial assessment process.
Assessors will be driving clearly marked Ford F-150 trucks displaying the Government of Alberta logo.
Designated Industrial Property includes:
- Facilities regulated by the Alberta Energy Regulator, Canadian Energy Regulator (formerly National Energy Board), or Alberta Utilities Commission
- Linear properties such as wells, pipelines, railways, telecommunications, and electric power systems
- Properties designated as “major plants” under the Alberta Machinery and Equipment Assessment Minister’s Guidelines
- Associated land and improvements tied to regulated facilities
These inspections are routine and essential to ensuring accurate and fair assessment.
