Only Flush the 3 Ps: Pee. Poo. Toilet Paper.

The MD of Taber continues to experience issues with clogged sewer pumps, resulting in increased maintenance, repairs, emergency callouts, and costs that are ultimately paid by taxpayers.

While our crews occasionally find unusual items in the sewer system—from toys and clothing to other household objects—wipes remain one of the biggest causes of blockages.

The problem? Even products labelled "flushable" don't break down like toilet paper. Instead, they can collect in pipes, combine with fats, oils and grease, clog pumps, and damage wastewater equipment.

 Only flush the 3 Ps:

  • Pee
  • Poo
  • Toilet Paper

 Never flush:

  • Baby wipes, cleaning wipes, makeup wipes, and "flushable" wipes
  • Tampons, pads, diapers, cotton swabs, and dental floss
  • Paper towels, tissues, and napkins
  • Fats, oils, and grease
  • Food scraps and coffee grounds
  • Medications, chemicals, cat litter, rags, and other household items
